As some of you who have tried to email me know, I'm not taking any music submissions right now.
But Script Dr. Eric, is.
Script Doctor Eric and TV Wet Nurse Matt had a long-running podcast (Scriptcast) that recently went off the air...
Or is it off the podcast...refresh...ing? I'm not sure the correct terminology.
And while it was a screenwriting podcast, they did play unsigned music nearly every episode.
And I have it by good authority (rumors) that the podcast will soon be up and running once more, airing an episode a month.
So, if you have a song you'd like played on a podcast that probably gets around a thousand downloads per episode (again, rumors), don't sent it to me, send it to Script Dr. Eric. He can be reached at: eric@scriptdoctoreric.com

Script Dr. Eric needs new music for Scriptcast
Hey Unsigned Artists,
If you didn't know, I'm helping out with the screenwriting podcast Scriptcast and am always on the lookout for music to play on the show.
Scriptcast is recorded weekly at the UCLA Radio station. For more info, see the Scriptcast page:
If you're like to hear your song on the podcast, don't send it to me, send it to Script Doctor Eric. I believe his email is eric at scriptdoctoreric dot com...
He and his co-host Matt will decide who gets played on the show.
If you have any questions, tweet Eric at @scriptdreric
To get a feel for what they want, you may want to listen to an episode or two of the podcast.
Basically though, they're looking for all genres of music to play at the beginning and end of the show, and sometimes in the middle.

No Radio Show This Quarter. But...
No radio show this quarter for me.
Instead, I'll be getting Script Doctor Eric to play all the unsigned artists I like on his screenwriting podcast Scriptcast.
Did I say podcast? It's also a radio show, recorded live on UCLA Radio every Friday at noon (Pacific).
So, if you want your song played on a screenwriting podcast that gets a few hundred downloads a week (I think those are the current numbers...could be wrong), let me know. Find my email; send me a song.

Hey Unsigned Artists,
Script Doctor Eric is looking for a theme song for Scriptcast (A Screenwriting Podcast)
Make the song 30 seconds to 1:30.
Include the name of the show in the song. Maybe say something about screenwriting, television writing, the hosts (Matt and Eric)...or not. The name of the show is the most important part.
Send your mp3 to eric@scriptdoctoreric.com by Monday, July 11th. They'll pick the song on Tuesday, July 12th, live on the podcast.
So basically, even if they don't pick it, if you create a song, Eric and Matt will play it and discuss it on the air.
And the best thing is, it's not just on the air once, the podcast is on iTunes. (Check out Scriptcast on iTunes) so your song will be forever on that episode...

Script Doctor Eric Will Be In My Timeslot Over the Summer
Yes, the show is usually Tuesdays, 4pm-6pm on UCLA Radio.
But this summer we're taking a break.
In our spot will be Scriptcast (A Screenwriting Podcast) from none other than produced screenwriter and friend of the show, Script Doctor Eric.
I think is pretty funny. Especially if you like screenwriting or movies or life in general.
And maybe if you bug them, they'll start using unsigned music in their podcast. (Podcasts are a great way for unsigned artists to be discovered.)

And keep checking back here - I'll still be posting now and then on unsigned music and what not.

Script Doctor Eric's Scriptcast
This Tuesday, from 4-6pm, my time-slot will be taken over by screenwriter and screenplay consultant Script Doctor Eric
Eric will be recording his weekly screenwriting podcast, Scriptcast. He couldn't do it at his normal time next week, so we've generously donated our slot so he can keep the recordings going, without missing a beat.

Then for May 17th the intern will be taking over again.
